Hands of Friendship ASBL was formed in August 2006 to offer encouragement and support to people in the developing world.Hands of Friendship is registered as a non-governmental organisation in Belgium, numero d'entreprise is 429413555 (the equivalent of a registered charity in the UK).
Our statutes focus our work exclusively on projects in the developing world.
Our aid is destined for individuals, families and communities who need emergency assistance as well as those who need longer term support.
Our assistance is currently directed through four project partners called 'Zimbabwe Humanitarian Crisis', 'Help 4 Forgotten Allies', 'Exodus Vision', and the long-established 'Projects to Support Refugees from Burma'. These last two have now moved to the UK and have become a UK registered charity no. 1139273 under the name of "Projects to Support Refugees from Burma" with Help 4 Forgotten Allies as one of the projects www.psrb.org.uk. PSRB and H4FA will then within the next year effectively cease to be members of Hands of Friendship. The generous support of Churches and organizations in Belgium has been wonderful and we hope they won't forget H4FA and PSRB as the work goes on from the UK.
All project partners are individually responsible for the direct communication with those we support in each country and are also full members of Hands of Friendship ASBL.
